TWO TIME OPTIONS:
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
Chase d’Arnaud is doing something every kid dreams of doing, times two: he is a Major League Baseball player and a rock star.
Chase d'Arnaud (pron. Darno) was born in Torrance, Calif. Growing up, his mom was an opera singer, and she would force both Chase and brother, Travis, to sing along with her in the car, which helped lead to his love of music. A violin player through elementary and middle school, Chase switched to the bass in high school and played in a band with some of his baseball teammates. Chase took up the guitar during his senior year of high school.
Chase was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2005 MLB Draft out of high school, but he chose to attend Pepperdine University where he also played baseball. He was drafted once again in 2008 in the 4th round of the MLB Amateur Draft. In 2011, Chase was playing for the triple a Indianapolis Indians when he was called up to the majors by the Pittsburgh Pirates in June 2011. Currently Chase plays with the Atlanta Braves. His brother, Travis, is a catcher with the New York Mets.
Chase recently opened for Lady Antebellum at the Kicks 101.5 Country Fair just outside Atlanta, Ga., and also played a set at Bonnaroo this past summer.
