Pretty Darn - New Album Release!

Hilton Head’s Pretty Darn, the band an island fell in love with, is very pleased to announce the upcoming release of their highly anticipated sophomore album. The follow-up to their breakout self-titled 2017 debut, “Brothers” marks the growth of an organic, song-driven, indie pop style spotlighting the effortlessly harmonic vocal stylings of co-founders Kyle Wareham and Nick Poulin.  Joining them on this effort are two new bandmates, percussionist Nate Douglas and bassist Alex Gonzalez. “We wanted to remain true to our sound and overall songwriting style, but we also explored some different elements on this record,” says Poulin. “With the addition of Nate and Alex we were able to develop the tracks in ways we weren’t able to before.  Our live show is able to deliver much more diverse arrangements and we wanted this album to reflect that”.

Recorded at Wareham’s own Shelter Studios, the completely homegrown effort contains 10 new original tracks written by Wareham and Poulin, as well as the title track, penned by fellow local singer/songwriter and frequent Pretty Darn collaborator Jared Templeton.  Fans of the band’s lyric-driven, infectiously singable tunes will be pleased that the boys aren’t straying far off course. According to Wareham, “Supoorting our first album playing live showed us that the strength of Pretty Darn lies in our songwriting and delivery.  After watching our fans embrace our lyrics we knew that we found our formula, and it’s very important to us that we continue creating new music that not only resonates with us, but with our fans, who we love, as well.”
